Free things to do in London

Samuel Johnson once said: „When a man is tired of London, he is tired of life”.

So… are you looking for the most beautiful and free thing to do in London? I’m here to help you, so you can have the best time here on a low budget.

1.Take a walk across Tower Bridge

Tower Bridge is a combined bridge in London, built between 1886 and 1894. The bridge crosses the River Thames and has become an iconic symbol of London. It is still a functional for pedestrian and traffic bridge. Of course you can pay for a ticket, and visit the museum and if you climb up, you’ll have an amazing view. You should definitely take a walk across the bridge ,so you can admire the River Thames and the huge buildings on both sides. You should also take a few pictures on the bridge, because it’s one of the most instagrammable places in London.

2.The London Eye

The London Eye is a huge wheel on London’s South Bank. It is a great Instagram spot, of course. Do you want to take the most beautiful pictures right there? Here’s a little tip. Sit across the Thames river from it. Or…  if you want a photo with the two red phone, tell your photographer to stay in the middle of the street.

Here you can buy a ticket too. You’ll have the most beautiful panoramic view above London! It’s a must do in a lifetime!

3.Trafalgar Square

Right there you can see Trafalgar Square Fountain ,Landseer Lion, Nelson’s Column, the National Gallery and St. Martin-in-the-Fields. It is also known as the heart of the city .

4.National Gallery

It’s absolutely free and you can see one of the most beautiful pieces of art in the world. It’s also a great idea to spend your time in London on a rainy day. You can see there the paintings of Claude Monet, Giovanni Bellini, Vincent van Gogh, Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci or many more. It could take you hours to see the museum, but in case missed something, their site is pretty nice.

5.Take a stroll through St James’s Park

St James’s Park is a park in the City of Westminster, central London. The park is bounded by Buckingham Palace to the west, the Mall to the north, Horse Guards to the east, and Birdcage Walk to the south. Honestly, I think it’s my favorite park in London. It’s a must see for me whenever I go in London. It’s so peaceful and relaxful for me. If you’re lucky enough to visit it during the spring you’ll see the beautiful blossom trees.

6.China Town

It is located in the heart of Leicester Square . If you love Asian food, here’s the best place to go! You can find there a lot of authentic Asian cuisines, like Chinese, Korean, Malaysian, Taiwanese, Vietnamese and many more. London’s Chinatown is one of the biggest in the world !

7.Take some photos near a red telephone box or a red double-decker

Cause we can’t leave London without taking this kind of pictures, right? You can find red telephone boxes and red double-decker buses all over the city. Wanna tell you a secret? In my opinion, the best picture you will take with red telephone boxes are across the river, in front of The London Eye. So, you will have a nice picture with red telephone boxes and The London Eye in the back! I love it!
